Denisse is an architecture consultant and multidisciplinary designer specializing in residential construction document development and biophilic design. Since 2013, she has partnered with large corporate architecture clients to combine technical precision with experimental, nature-integrated spatial solutions.
Her creative practice spans furniture and artifact design, indoor and outdoor garden development, and architectural and recreational photography. Rooted in biophilic principles and digital fabrication, her work explores the relationship between built environments, natural systems, and crafted objects.
Background
Born in Mexico, Denisse studied at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Guadalajara—where she earned first-place awards in urban design and architectural drawing—before transferring to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to complete her Bachelor of Architecture in 2006. Following years of practice in Los Angeles at agps architecture and LPA Inc., she co-founded dt architecture shop with Fausto Teran. In 2011, she earned her Master of Architecture from Cranbrook Academy of Art, focusing on design experimentation and digital fabrication.

Born and raised in Quito - Ecuador, Fausto moved to the United States where after years of study and travel around the Americas and Europe he received his Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2005. Later, he obtained his Master of Science in Architecture with concentration in Digital Technologies [MS_DT] from University of Michigan in 2012.
His career focuses on collaboration within a team work environment, with emphasis on innovative design and fabrication with cohesive use of materials paying special attention to detail as well as the client's goal and budget.
Fausto has worked in architectural firms in Los Angeles, CA and Brighton, MI as a project manager in luxury multi-family residential projects and private residences as well as several interior renovations.
He is a creative team player, problem solver and detail oriented - all with an eye to create great spaces.
